Chesapeake and Ohio Canal 1937 in Georgetown
Georgetown and Lock #7
The Chesapeake & Ohio Canal meanders down along the Potomac into Washington DC. It is parallel with the Clara Barton Parkway for several miles and "Lock #7" which is accessed from that roadway is a small park which preserves the historical structure of how the canal once fucntioned as a passageway for goods to flow into Washington DC from further north.
