The only museum on the National Mall that resembles a chocolate layer cake (or maybe a 1970s sci-fi film office building), the Hirshhorn Museum is different from the other collections in DC (it features works by Henry Moore, Rodin, art by Kathy Kollwitz, a large Reginald Marsh Steeplechase Park egg tempera painting, among other works).
